Product Support Engineer II

As a Product Support Engineer II, you will be using your skills to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our product and system prototypes. You'll be responsible for assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems. You're technical responsibilities include product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators.

Responsibilities:

Provide Aircraft maintenance support in a high OPTEMPO environment, meeting or exceeding required Mission Capability (MC) rate at an overseas locationInterpreting manufacturer and internal manuals, drawings, technical references, and CAMPS documentsMaintaining with aviation safety standards and safe operating practicesKnowledge of aircraft maintenance and inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to serviceApply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Work on complex technical problems to provide solutionsCompliance with all Security Protocols on and in support of Aircraft OperationsExperience with circuits and wiring assemblies and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistentlyPerform simple tests such as continuity checksInstall and Integrate wiring, and termination in accordance with system requirementsAbility to terminate various coaxial, circular, and MIL-SPEC connectorsHave good hand eye coordination and be able to use a variety of standard hand tools including crimpers and soldering ironsKnowledge of proper ESD controlsWindows/Domain administration tasksPatching of product specific systemsMust be detail and quality orientedThis is a Deployed rotational position

Must-haves:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or typically 2 or more years of related experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceBasic understanding of and some experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computersCommunication and customer interface skillsUnderstanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systemsComprehensive expert level understanding and experience of EO/IR VORTEXi(X), ORION-E, wideband KA SATCOM, radar, COMINT, and BLOS systemsHands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computersCommunication and customer interface skillsProgressive experience using troubleshooting techniquesThorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systemsCurrent/active TS/SCI ClearanceAbility to reside outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of timeAbility to deploy for a minimum of 90 days and willing to deploy on a 90/30 rotation scheduleDeployment work schedule 5/8Current/valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel to KoreaAbility to adapt to extreme outdoor climates and working conditionsAbility to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locationsMust be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required

Preferred:

Working knowledge of operating military units and logisticsFamiliarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensorsAbility to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance proceduresBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US MilitaryLeadership experience in the military or civilian organizationPrior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates
