DuPont's industry-leading Tedlar® surface protection business segment provides high-performance films and adhesives to engineers and designers to enable material systems solutions for demanding applications and environments.
With the R&D center located in Wilmington, Delaware we are looking for a Product Stewardship, Regulatory and Sustainability Consultant.
**Your key responsibilities:**
+ Respond to customer inquiries regarding the regulatory and product safety status of the Tedlar® business portfolio.
+ Lead the implementation of the business product stewardship management system in accordance with DuPont’s product stewardship & regulatory standards.
+ Lead the global product regulatory compliance of the business including U.S. EPA, EU REACH and other regional/local regulations by coordinating with local subject matter experts.
+ Monitor the development of new, external regulations, help provide interpretation and assess impact to business stakeholders (R&D, TS&D, marketing, sales).
+ Support the R&D function in the development of less hazardous and more sustainable products.
+ Conduct Business Risk Reviews to identify, evaluate and manage the risks associated with new or existing business opportunities.
+ Conduct Management of Change (MOC) reviews for raw materials, new products, applications and sales in new countries & regions.
+ Coordinate with the hazard communication function to maintain accurate product compositions and classification changes in accordance with GHS and CLP regulations.
+ Prepare and deliver customer facing sustainability information/packages.
+ Respond verbally and sometimes officially to inbound customer requests on our sustainability programs and progress (work with Legal on formal letters/replies).
+ Participate in new Tedlar sustainability initiatives (recycling, joint customer programs, etc) and product/application development programs to drive sustainability by design.
+ Represent Tedlar, contribute and participate in industry sustainability organizations where our customers are active and pressuring us to also be active. For example:

+ Attend Trade Conferences and Visit key customers to present our sustainability efforts and have a two-way conversation on what else we can do to support customer/industry Sustainability agendas.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor or Masters degree, preferably in a chemistry, science or engineering field.
+ 3-5 years of experience in the product stewardship, regulatory and sustainability field.
+ Strong customer focus and understanding of customer product safety and regulatory requirements.
+ Good IT, analytical and communication skills.
+ Strong ethics and regulatory compliance mindset.
+ Adaptable to change in the internal and external environment.
+ Ability to interact in a positive, constructive manner under a variety of circumstances.
+ Bias for Action and ability to build relationships quickly and effectively, interact, and communicate information with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Self-initiated learner to consistently broaden knowledge on new topics including those outside of the PSR&S role function.
