Job Title: Product Specialist (Machine Control)

Location: Milton Keynes-UK, Raunheim-Germany or Brasov-Romania

Trimble is currently looking for an exceptional Product Specialist (m/f/d). This position is responsible for providing product support, installation assistance & training to Trimble Distribution and OEM Partners and end customers, as well as internal Trimble organizations, supporting our Construction business segments with focus on, but not limited to the EMEA region. 

The Product Specialist provides prompt technical assistance to our business partners and internal Trimble teams relating to product information and technical support. Product/system technologies supported include, but not limited to are: 

Trimble Grading/Paving/Excavating/Drilling & Piling Machine Control Systems, Siteworks software applications, Site Positioning applications, wireless data and communication systems and related hardware. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with engineering for the purpose of testing and evaluating new products. 

The Product Specialist provides fast and efficient email and phone support relating to technical requests, as well as analysis and reproduction of technical problems and information exchange with product development and product management as required. The position will also include reseller and end user installation and system troubleshooting training courses.

Success in this position involves the timely maintenance of technical support related issues to reduce company costs and customer and dealer dissatisfaction. The role will be a hybrid one with the current requirement of coming 3 days per week to the Trimble office. There is a requirement to undertake travel, sometimes at short notice, generally within the EMEA region and the USA. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide fast and efficient technical support to resellers and internal Trimble teams

Gain and keep a high-level knowledge of Trimble's on-machine products

Provide training, job site installation and troubleshooting

Work closely with resellers, product management and development teams to solve product issues

Provide advanced technical support on problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data is required

Provide new product input, field-testing and subsequent production release involvement

Create technical notes and documentation

Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience Required:

Mechanical skills (ideally with heavy civil machinery)

Capable of working independently and in a team-based environment

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Computer literacy and competency

Willingness and ability to travel within the EMEA region and the United States

Effective decision-making, planning, communication, and collaborative problem solving

Minimum 2 years experience, ideally in a Technical Support environment, Land Survey grade procedures, OR Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying (Civil)/ Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (Mechanical) OR relevant industry experience (such as survey party chief, survey manager, Data Prep tech, GPS champion, technology dealership etc…)

Familiarity with SalesForce or other similar CRM software and Oracle a plus

Background in Engineering or Construction with Trimble Construction products a plus.
