Job Title: Product Security Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Product Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will consult on the design and implementation of cybersecurity capabilities for our products, prioritize and apply cybersecurity requirements, and mitigate cybersecurity defects and risks. This role involves working closely with Research & Development product teams and product security architects to address cybersecurity gaps and maintain a secure-by-design lifecycle.

ResponsibilitiesConsult on the design and implementation of cybersecurity capabilities for products.Prioritize and apply cybersecurity requirements for products.Design and implement mitigation strategies for cybersecurity defects and risks.Work with Research & Development product teams to address gaps in common cybersecurity controls.Develop and maintain the product security test lab environment.Collaborate with product security architects to set baseline cybersecurity requirements.Prototype cybersecurity solutions and stay current on cybersecurity topics through research and education.Facilitate cybersecurity risk management activities, including technical assessments of cybersecurity risk and periodic assessment of accepted or deferred risks.Understand the technical implementation of a cybersecurity framework for products.Provide operational oversight of product security program requirements.Maintain product security secure-by-design lifecycle procedures, work instructions, and technical guidance documents in collaboration with product security analysts.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience in product and/or cyber security practices in a regulated industry or environment.Knowledge of global standards and frameworks such as ISO standards, NIST, FDA, ITIL, and EUMDR.Experience with FDA cybersecurity guidance for medical devices.Experience with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).Experience with medical device product cybersecurity regulatory submission requirements.Professional certification in cyber security practices (CISSP, CEH, or similar) preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience conducting product and/or cyber security practices in a regulated industry or environment.Knowledge of global standards and frameworks such as ISO standards, NIST, FDA, ITIL, and EUMDR.Professional certification in cyber security practices (CISSP, CEH, or similar) preferred.Work Environment

This role may require occasional travel to other company locations. The work environment involves working closely with Research & Development teams and product security architects. The position includes responsibilities such as vendor management, participating in regulatory and safety reviews, and potentially performing product penetration testing, incident response, and vulnerability management activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $169000.00/yr.

Target Pay Range: $135,300.00 to $169,100.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
