_A_ **_Product Sales Specialist_** _at White Cap…_
+ Is responsible for maintaining and growing sales to achieve yearly sales goals for specific product line or industry in an assigned region.
+ Partners with the sales team and customers to provide product training and educate teams on specific product line or industry while driving sales.
+ Provides best-in-class customer service to support customer needs and resolve any issues.
+ Conducts joint sales calls with sales representatives, contacts customers and makes sales presentations.
+ Partners with National Sales Managers on presentations and proposals for large customers.
+ Develops and implements plans to expand business presence.
+ Establishes relationships and working partnerships with account managers, vendors and customers.
+ Attends trade shows and promotes assigned product line or industry.
+ Attends the monthly business meetings for all company sponsored associations.
+ Generally has 5-8 years of experience in a related field
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle, or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
**Preferred Qualifications**
**Our Project & Business Development Program is a 1-2-year development process where candidates rotate through different job responsibilities while spending time building a deep level of product knowledge and use for specific project requirements, understanding and utilizing the Jobsite Formwork consultative sales process and learn how to successfully manage a project. The outcome is to develop a well-rounded foundation of skills and be able to move into your own outside sales territory. This would come with an attractive base + commission structure upon successful completion of the program.**
**Curriculum & Rotations**
**Introduction to Engineering Department:** Associate would learn our various product lines and how to detail projects using our AutoCAD database and generate equipment write-up lists from the drawings generated. (Reports to Director of Engineering)
**Introduction to Customer Service (CSR):** Associate would work and mentor with a current CSR to understand how equipment lists, shipping tickets and invoices are generated and communicated between Engineering, Sales, Operations and Customer. (Reports to the Customer Service Manager)
**Initial Operations Training** : Associate would work in our operations department to understand how orders are pulled and loaded as well as learning our equipment through the return process. Associate would be responsible for working with Director of Sales and Procurement Manager for weekly cycle count audits of various product lines to understand fleet management and how to best utilize available inventory. (Reports to Director of Operations)
**Introduction to Preconstruction - Project Management** : Associate would work with Preconstruction & Sales Manager to learn how to present and sell and successfully manage our projects. Learn how to develop a scope proposal based upon project requirements. This would be through attendance of 1st appointments, close meetings, site service and other responsibilities. (Report to the Director of Sales)
**Final Project** : Presentation of Capstone Project that encompass various project areas that focuses on continuous improvement as a group. Successfully pass Mechanical Aptitude & Product Knowledge test to enter the position of Engineered Services: Formwork & Shoring Sales Representative in a key territory pertaining to our growth strategy.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
+ Must have valid Driver’s License.
+ Intermediate to advanced computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
+ Learn and become proficient with BlueBeam within the 1st 90 days.
+ Outstanding communication, listening skills and ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
+ Exceptional math skills and the ability to estimate, price and prepare scope proposals.
+ Exposure to blueprint reading
