The Role
As a Product Safety Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services are safe for customers and protect users from potential hazards.  

 

Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the reliability, safety and performance of systems and components whilst helping to shape innovation. 

Implement the company’s product safety strategy and policies  Identify potential safety issues and recommend corrective actions Ensure products meet applicable safety standards, laws and regulations Approve risk mitigation plans and ensure the implementation of corrective actions Develop and execute safety testing protocols 

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and requires regular travel to a number of locations including Bristol, Walsall and Plymouth

 

Experience required of the Product Safety Manager 

Strong knowledge of product safety standards and regulations Knowledge of safety certifications Proficiency in risk assessment tools and techniques (FMEA, HAZOP etc) Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Qualifications for the Product Safety Manager

Degree qualified in relevant engineering subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc) Safety related qualification / certification preferred 

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
