As Product Owner - Workload Systems, you will be a true Product Owner for Stores. You will lead the Workload System and Product Management for Workload processes, tools, equipment, and store technology for Burlington’s >1,000 stores and growing. The role is accountable for the operational efficiency of processes in scope and oversees all related initiatives to deliver world-class execution of the off-price retail model. You should be a great problem solver with strong analytical skills, experience in product management, a background in workload systems or similar fields, a collaborator, people leader, and most importantly, a strong communicator with experience leading store operations and technology at national scale retailers.

 

A Day In The Life

 

Execution: Establish partnerships and processes for defining business requirements and documentation to deliver aligned technology solutions to stores. Manage cross-functional teams to create and roll out systems. Create and implement adoption strategy end-to-end, from communication and training to issue resolution and user accountability. Set up tech product management infrastructure using platforms like JIRA or similar.Run-the-business: Build and launch forms, surveys, templates, and other tools within the system, Zebra platform. Establish integrations with other store tech as needed. Set up new stores, triage and address issues, tickets, and escalations. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post launch analysis. Establish and maintain best practices, standards and guidelines for workload and product management processes. Reporting and analytics: Run workload compliance and reporting (SQL, BI, Python, etc.). Analyze themes and trends on process execution and change management issues. Develop automation to manage workflow between home office, field, and stores. Partner with field leaders to address challenges and deliver on store operations standards.Cross-functional collaboration: Engage closely with Field, Operations, IT, HR, L&D, and other functions to deliver objectives, garner support for programs, and coordinate cross-functional execution of initiatives in the Stores organization.Strategy: Define workload system roadmap for equipping store and field leaders with the tools to implement processes and change management. Conduct user focus groups and human-centered design studies to inform technology evolution. Create business cases, estimate investment and ROI, and align senior decision makers across operations, field, IT, procurement, HR, and others on the workload technology strategy.

 

To Be Successful You Should Possess

 

A. or equivalent in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldMBA or other advanced degree preferred>5 years of experience in Product Management of technology solutions with or within IT organizations, business software preferred>5 years of experience in analytical and quantitative functions, operations context preferred>3 years of experience in retail or technology industries Record of accomplishment of launching and driving adoption of process changes and tech tools at comparable scaleDemonstrated problem solving, organizational leadership, and communication skills
