Product Owner Proxy
Overview The Product Owner Proxy will be responsible for coordinating development efforts using Agile methodology, working alongside the development team and stakeholders to help deploy solutions for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) project. This role will engage with enterprise stakeholders to ensure successful project vision and implementation. Responsibilities Engage with development teams and stakeholders throughout the enterprise to facilitate Agile processes and best practices. Work directly with customers and other internal groups to evaluate supporting technologies and use cases based on project needs. Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and partners during the process of building solutions. Implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of the project. Review work, design, and architecture, providing input on development aspects when needed. Opportunity for on-the-job learning in design and implementation of solutions using latest technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: EPA background investigation eligible. Demonstrated education and expertise in Agile development methodology. 5-7 years of experience in software development or related roles. Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Confluence). Understanding of development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Struts, Hibernate). Familiarity with business rules engines (e.g., Drools). Experience with project management and development tools. Knowledge of web technologies relevant to the project. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build trusting relationships with stakeholders. Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and implement solutions. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and agile environment. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related technical field. Experience with EPA or other federal government contracts. Familiarity with environmental compliance information systems.
