Product Owner (m/f/d) Patient-Specific Solutions

Within our Digital, Robotics and Enabling Technologies division, our Clinical Applications team develops high-quality medical software to shape the future of the image-to-surgery workflow for computer-assisted surgeries as well as to connect with core technology of Stryker products, including surgical robotics, image-guided procedures, and patient-specific implants.

As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering streamlined software solutions for patient-specific planning and design within our image-to-implant portfolio. You’ll collaborate with a talented cross-functional Agile team—including implant engineers, application software developers, geometry modeling experts,  quality and testing professionals—to bring innovative and high-quality medical technology to market.

What you will need:

Required:

Own the product vision – Define, manage, and communicate product roadmaps, releases, and features to stakeholders, leaders, and the development team.

Shape the future of patient-specific design workflow – Work with customers and the development team to develop user friendly, intelligent and automated solutions in the patient-specific design space

Drive Agile development – Own and prioritize the software backlog; Define and document user needs, software requirements, and validation protocols while supporting the Agile Scrum team in formalizing their work.

Engage with users & stakeholders – Organize evaluation sessions with internal users, surgeons, and stakeholders, gathering feedback to continuously improve the product.

Ensure regulatory excellence – Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to maintain design history files and ensure compliance with medical device regulations.

Track and optimize performance – Observe product KPIs, share insights with stakeholders, and identify operational improvements.

What you will need:

Required:

Master’s degree or higher in biomedical engineering, software engineering, or related engineering disciplines.

6+ years of professional experience in product development.

Mastery of agile methodologies and development lifecycles, with demonstrated success in a product owner or similar role.

Strong knowledge and experience in applying system engineering practices and user-centered design principles.

Good knowledge and experience in a regulated industry, including product development processes, software development life cycle, design control, regulatory standards and guidelines.

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including PMO, R&D, testing, AO, QA, RA, and marketing.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical teams and leadership.

Fluent in English, comfortable in an innovative and international environment working with teams across different time zones.

Preferred:

Clinical knowledge in hip and related surgical procedures and products

Familiarity with patient-specific implants and related processes from design to manufacturing

Experience in the medical device industry
