Job Title: Product Owner Intern (Healthcare SaaS)
Duration: 12-16 Weeks (Full-Time, Summer Internship)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner Intern to join our team for the summer and provide hands-on support across two agile scrum teams. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world product experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that’s shaping the future of healthcare technology.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UI/UX Designers, and QA to support product planning, backlog management, and feature execution for our healthcare SaaS platform. This role is ideal for a graduate student or rising senior with a strong interest in Agile product development, digital health, and user-centric design.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development Support
Assist with grooming and maintaining product backlogs for two active scrum teams. Break down product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Product Manager. Participate in sprint ceremonies including standups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Backlog & Requirements Management
Responsible for triaging, customer feedback, and enhancement requests into actionable items. Ensure user stories are well-documented, refined, and meet the Definition of Ready. Track sprint progress and help facilitate communication across cross-functional teams.Collaboration & Execution
Collaborate with Engineering, UI/UX, QA, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support execution. Support QA in story validation and user acceptance testing coordination. Monitor key metrics and help identify post-release improvements or optimizations.Voice of Customer & Research
Join customer calls or feedback sessions (with guidance) to gather insights and inform requirements. Advocate for user needs in shaping intuitive, impactful solutions.Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Healthcare, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycles. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a self-starter mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Pay Range
The hourly range for this position (in local currency) is $20-$40/hour.
