Product Owner

The Product Owner role will work in a collaborative team environment that delivers Digital Apps and Tools for Food Safety Solutions. This will include integrated field, corporate account, and customer solutions from data capture, UI/UX, reporting and merchandising while leveraging innovative mobile, portal, and reporting technologies. 

The Product Owner identifies, documents, and validates business requirements used by the technical team to provide functionality necessary to meet business objectives. This role is instrumental in implementing a proprietary mobile application to our Digital Solutions platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

Demonstrate and have accountability for requirements management via a product backlogCommunicate using a variety of methods such as text, diagrams, prototypes, story mapping, user stories and use cases. Facilitate requirement gathering sessions including product backlog refinement with the team.Acting as scrum master/project manager on smaller projects playing a dual roleIdentify, understand and document business requirements using use cases and storyboardsPrioritize the requirements and backlog according to business value in partnership with the product owner. Negotiate, collaborate and resolve requirement conflictsAssimilate information, distill knowledge, apply experiences while providing solution alternatives and recommendations to the team and stakeholders. Improve project processes or recommend improvements as deemed appropriate for the project. Support multiple projects with different solution teams simultaneously as business needs dictateQuickly learn new processes, tools, business domains and technical applicationsSet priorities, adapt to change, plan carefully and meet established timelinesCollaborate effectively with cross-functional department teams across the organization and work well within the teamUnderstand the impact of business change; serve as a change agent for business process changes. Coordinate and assist with user acceptance testing sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years' work experience in a technical, analytical and problem-solving role8 years' experience with project management and/or business analysis, prefer Agile experience5 years' experience including creativity, innovation and researching new technical solutions5 years' experience writing clear and concise requirements and business communications.3 years' experience developing use cases/user stories5 years' in process mapping and workflow optimizationVisa sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

Restaurant or food Industry experience in preferredBring a positive and collaborative energy to the dynamic scrum teamYou are a strong technical, analytical and process driven thinker with strong problem-solving skillsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing including executive level presentationsSelf-starter with detail orientation; persistence and ability to work independently to drive execution.Ability to anticipate change and transition with agility and flexibility while still meeting customer and corporate needs in a fast-paced environment5 years' experience supporting and implementing solutions for a company with a large field sales or service team.1 years' experience working in an Agile environmentAgile software tool such as JIRA/ConfluenceBA or PM certification
