Marvell’s Optical Connectivity business marketing team oversees the business operations within the business unit, playing a pivotal role in understanding the market and managing business strategy. Their key responsibilities include conducting market research and analysis, crafting go-to-market strategies, managing branding and awareness initiatives, and nurturing customer relationships. The team directly handles forecasting and revenue management for Marvell’s optical connectivity products, analyzing supply and demand, and setting and approving pricing. They work collaboratively with Marvell’s global sales, operations, and engineering teams.

What You Can Expect

We are looking for an experienced professional who has passion to contribute on the optical connectivity business unit’s growth and success. As a marketing professional, you will be responsible for the BU’s forecast, supply and inventory management of Marvell’s optical DSP, drivers and TIA product lines. You will be responsible for coworking with supply chain team in operations for managing product efficiently. Other duties include product sampling shipments, volume production shipment coordination and allocations as necessary. You also need to understand customer demand and the competition to be able to quote reasonable price to win the business. You must be a proactive and self-motivated person.

This position will focus on inbound product management and backend support. You need to work together with BU internal members, platform/partner BU members, operations, sales, finance, and engineering teams to facilitate sampling shipments and volume production shipments.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Volume product revenue shipment coordination and allocation. Work with PLM and sales to fully understand customers’ demand and priorities, and meanwhile work with operations to have supply properly planned, includes material purchasing, expediting, resource allocation and priority setting, and supply allocation if there is any supply shortage. Regularly review BU backlog, supply status with operations and sync with BU leader. Also need to well understand optical DSP, driver, and TIA products inventory at customer side and disti side for proper supply planning and allocation.

NPI sample tracking and coordination. In partnership with PM, PLM, operations, sales, etc to have sample requests in system, waivers in place, engineering material planned and allocated, and other logistic issue cleared.

BU forecast and pricing management, updating, and reporting. Work together with PLMs, sales, platform BU and demand planning to have BU forecast up to date. Track and improve booking rate.

Responsible for product quotation providing to customers, tracking and final approval in system.

Support BU leader on company-wide business review regularly, includes crunching and collecting data, generating summary and plots, updating worktables or spreadsheet, preparing slides.  

Provide cost breakdown scenarios for wafer metal consolidation or full layer unification as one of major reference for wafer mask tape-out.

Responsible for periodically material, cost and ASP review, includes but not limited to, MRB scrap, E&O, DBC, ASP & ASPM, and gross margin.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Arts or related fields and 5+ years of related professional experience. Or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Business, Science, Arts or related fields with 3+ years of experience.

Very strong verbal and written communication skills

Multi-task, self-motivated, detail oriented, action oriented with proactive approach

Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams, and third parties.

Proven ability to build professional relationships with internal and external customers and partners.

Excellent Excel skills, mastery of Excel templates, and pivot tables.

Able to use PowerPoint and Word skillfully to make & format docs, and presentations.

Language: Professional working proficiency in Mandarin a plus

Willing to travel internationally (once per quarter).

Willing to work off hours schedule with Asian and Europe teams.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

112,850 - 169,100, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
