Product Manager - Point Of Care
Minimum requirements for the role:
Must have a strong medical background within the point of care and in vitro diagnostics environment. Relevant academic qualifications is essential. Must have previous sales and product management experience within relevant market segment. Previous experience working within a new business development, sales and marketing role is required for this role. Must have proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing and executing point of care products strategy within a local and export territory to ensure company strategies and sales targets achieved. Preparing and executing point of care product portfolio strategy to existing and new customers. Setting a marketing strategy in conjunction with the business unit manager to achieve required growth in point of care products nationally. Solving customer queries and complaints Providing customer and sales team with relevant product information and training. Planning new product launches as well as ad hoc CPD accredited trainings or events. Ordering of stock in terms of approved inventory policy to ensure no stock outs, over stock or expiries. Compiling and submitting relevant reports – internal as well as to suppliers. Planning and attending relevant industry congresses. Handling product defects / recalls where necessary. Monitoring consignment of stocks as well as rotation to ensure adequate stock on site and no expiry write offs incurred. Collecting and presentation of key market trends and market data such as market size and competitor market shares and positioning. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
