Product Manager III (Debit Card Modernization) - Hybrid

**Overview:**
Responsible for leading a bank-wide effort to enhance and modernize the Debit & ATM Card products. Plays an integral role in the development of successful implementation strategies and goals; monitors the progress towards the desired outcomes.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Sets strategic direction for the modernization effort and presents project and business plans to senior management and employees.
+ Review new developments in company markets, evaluating and recommending services or enhancements Implement and manage changes in service, communication, and marketing strategy.
+ Manage all aspects of implementation and existing product modification to include but not limited to the design and development of services, portfolio conversion and process improvements; act in a liaison capacity with affected departments.
+ Establish marketing and training objectives; work with other Bank departments to develop effective programs to service and maintain products.
+ Recommend product pricing, understanding the cost structure.
+ Ensure product/services are marketable, profitable and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain an awareness of new trends and developments in marketing and company products and services.
+ Responsible for vendor relationship(s), including expense planning, performance management, and vendor due diligence.
+ Develop a thorough understanding of the Debit Card and ATM Card businesses and their functions, processes, and operations.
+ Combine technical understanding with business knowledge to anticipate impacts of strategy and process change.
+ Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
+ Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
+ Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience Required:**
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
+ 7 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience
**Education and Experience Preferred:**
+ Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
+ Highly organized with an ability to multi-task
+ Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis
+ Outstanding interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated leadership skills
+ Project Management skills
+ Strong developmental and research ability
+ Product Management experience preferred
**Working Model/Office Location:**
This is a hybrid location requiring 3 days in-office per week. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to 345 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $100,611.94 - $167,686.57 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
