The Role
As a Product Manager on the Crossix Data Platform team, you will own the design and execution for major components of our SafeMine Cloud Product.
SafeMine Cloud is a data pipeline product that collects, matches, de-identifies, and extracts health data while maintaining patient privacy for Crossix Analytics and the Veeva Compass suite of products. You are excited about big data and building data pipelines that deliver quality data. You are comfortable working with a cross-functional team, ranging from the Development team to peers on the Product Management and Operations team. You will help shape the future of the product. This will include designing features, writing detailed product specifications, and working with the Development team to bring designs to fruition. This is a great opportunity for someone who is excited about product design from the early days and thinking strategically about data pipelines and architecture for scalability, reliability, privacy, and quality in data delivery.What You'll DoOwn and design product features from start to finish, including user stories, functional & non-functional requirements, feature specifications, quality control checksManage the prioritization and focus on data pipeline enhancementsAuthor high-quality design specifications within an agile methodology based upon industry and downstream systems/customer requirementsSupport release and sprint planning to ensure product enhancements support the needs of the internal customers at the right time and the right sequenceCollaborate closely with Development, Data Analysts, QA, DevOps, and Product Management to ensure products are built and delivered with qualityBe accountable for the success of the product - define and analyze product metrics and quantified methodology for data qualityAcquire deep subject matter expertise in healthcare dataRequirements2+ years of hands-on product management experience/technical services/engineering/data analytics or other related positions in the data platforms space4+ years of hands-on technical experience like engineering, solution architect, data analytics, or other related positions in the data platforms spaceStrong understanding of all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including definition of requirements, engineering, QA, and deploymentPrevious experience with big data and working on data pipelines, such as designing ETL/ELT processes, schemas, and QC checksProficient in SQLUnderstanding of cloud-based applications and designsStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in EnglishBA/MA/BSc/MSc in relevant fieldsNice to HaveExperience in the Life Sciences industry, SaaS, and/or enterprise productsUnderstanding of healthcare data, including Rx Claims, Medical Claims, and EHRUnderstanding of NoSql databasesVeeva’s headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
