POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Manager will play an integral role in Balchem-s success by supporting all product lines for the Flavors, Encapsulates & Inclusions Business Unit (FE&I). The position focuses on implementing short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives related to the FE&I BU product line as set by the Sr. Business Director and Sr. Product Manager. To accomplish this, the Product Manager must demonstrate strong leadership skills, drive cross-functional change initiatives, and assist in implementing a strategic roadmap related to FE&I BU initiatives. This individual will act as a key liaison between Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service and Commercial teams. Responsibilities include managing market development activities, implementing commercial pricing strategies, developing industry knowledge and providing internal support to sales team for the FE&I BU.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Develop a deep understanding of product categories and customer profitability.
+ Support key internal stakeholders on product line issues.
+ Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to improve communication flow, enhance effectiveness and reduce risk.
+ Collaborate with the Sr. Product Manager to identify, prioritize, and manage support activities across between Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations
+ Customer Service and Commercial teams to ensure consistency with strategy and budgeted business.
+ Develop and distribute formal pricing for customer distribution and ERP upload.
+ Assist in product performance analyses for business reporting.
+ Manage the Demand Forecast Model and collaborate with Business Analysts to enhance reporting accuracy.
+ Lead the Flavor Systems commercialization process to bring new products to market.
+ Assist in reviewing and implementing finished good SKU rationalization for each portfolio.
+ Support the implementation and management of commercial strategies to reach annual targets.
+ Support marketing programs and business strategies with sales and technical personnel.
+ Demonstrates flexibility, strong communication skills and ability to solve problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor-s Degree
+ Preferred 2-3 years of related experience in the food or supplement industry; market planning and new product development experience is preferred
+ Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills,
+ Strong leadership qualities when working with cross functional teams
+ Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
+ Effective analysis/problem solving/decision-making skills
+ Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
+ Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory
+ Solid decision-making and problem solving skills
+ Travel up to 25%
