Product Management Specialist III – Job Description
Position Summary: The Product Management Specialist will provide support for both new and existing products in the Antibodies Portfolio of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The position will also be asked to support other product management activities, including market research, sales support and implementation of product line strategies. The role involves collaborating with Market Development, R&D, Sales, and Operations teams to achieve revenue and data governance objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently, exercising good judgment within generally defined practices and policies, and will combine a passion for science with an understanding of marketing and customer needs to thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support product management team in handling life cycle of products – including forecasting, market intelligence research, product improvements, discontinuations, pricing & margin analysis.Ensure accuracy of product data and information across various platforms and systems as required.Prepare all required documents for all new product introductions and ensure timely processing through all systems as necessary per project.Troubleshoot product & system related issues, identify root cause and drive implementation of change as necessary.Assist product management team with new product development, from concept to commercialization – which may include any of the following: voice of customer research, customer & product definition, value proposition definition, product launch management and sales training development and support.Ability to perform various analysis where necessary including assessment of competitive landscape, marketing analytics, sales analysis, etc.Flexibility to take on new projects as they arise and support the product managers as needed.Collaborate effectively with product managers and key team members across Thermo Fisher Scientific to drive alignment and achieve common goals.Foster a forward-thinking approach by leading process improvements that enhance the overall customer experience.Lead PPI initiatives for assigned sites and workflows to drive operational excellence.Minimum requirements/qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field with strong analytical abilities and a general knowledge base of biological sciencesM.B.A. and/or MS/Ph.D. in Life Sciences desirablePrevious work in field of antibodies or immunoassays is preferred.Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, relationship building, project management and planning/prioritization skillsAbility to adapt communication to accommodate audience diversity and may communicate internally at higher levelsExperience with Agile, Oracle, & E1 is beneficial
