Job Description

As part of the global value-added services organization, North America Product & Experience Design (PxD) is an innovation consulting team that helps Visa’s network clients accelerate their innovation agenda and transform their customer experience.

The PxD team is looking for a talented individual to help scope and lead human centered design client engagements. The individual should be able to work collaboratively across design, research, and technology. The PxD team adopts a holistic approach to product design that begins with the customer and rapidly iterates solutions to deliver customer experiences that are simple, powerful, and exceptional.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual and strategic thinker, ideally with previous human-centered design experience.  

Typical projects may include:  

How does a financial institution drive great digital credit card acquisition?  What products, features, and experiences should a credit card issuer consider tooffer a best-class-experience?  How does a financial institution need to know about their target segment and user base to drive improved engagement?  How could a financial institution optimize and improve their user experience across the customer journey?  

Responsibilities:  

Play an integral role on a multi-disciplinary team of experienced product strategists, researchers, and designers in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients  Complete consulting engagements with other team members, including participating in interviews, analyzing confidential client data, and summarizing key findings  Contribute to industry research and identify internal and external opportunities to drive user experience improvementsContribute to customer research and support the synthesis of themes and insights in the dataDevelop client-specific presentations which address executive needs and deliver presentations to clients and internal Visa partners 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Students pursuing an MBA Degree with a graduation date in December 2025 or laterStrong communications skills, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.Experience in digital product strategy, design thinking or human-centered design

Preferred Qualifications

4 years of relevant work experience in consultingExcellent client-facing communication, storytelling and presentation skills with ability to articulate findings in action-driven recommendations Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights Ability to form hypotheses on client issue root causes and validate thinking quickly using data Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt Strong intellectual curiosity to understand the root cause of issues and how to drive value for clients Proficient and ideally a power-user of spreadsheet and presentation tools An interest in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus An affinity for payments technology and its future 

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $52.00 which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
