Job Description

Danfoss in Ames, IA is searching for Product Engineer Interns beginning May 2025. The position entails working with Product Engineers and others in the organization to create and improve product designs for medium power hydrostatic products produced in locations around the globe.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

Component or system design and analysis Testing and validation in a lab setting with written reports Development of new product features Current and new product design documentation and support Background & Skills

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering (Power and Machinery) Work availability – 40 hours/week during the Summer, 10-20 hours/week during Fall/Spring Internship or coop experience in an engineering or manufacturing field Strong communication & problem solving skills Self-starter & team-player Hands-on mechanical skills Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location Danfoss – Engineering Tomorrow
