Advanced technical degree and or MBA preferred. **Job Title:** Product Director, Locomotive Platform **City:** La Grange **Key Job Elements:** Key job responsibilities include: - Accountable for delivery of the locomotive development projects on time, at cost, with quality - Driving NTI and NPI product development excellence across the team - Implementation of locomotive product strategy - Management and development of high performing engineering team - Ensuring the product development organization has the people, processes, and tools to facilitate success The incumbent will also be accountable to develop and implement Multi-Generational Product Plans, (MGPP) and design programs which provide performance and feature options that meet the Critical Customer Requirements (CCRs) as well as working strategically within the business to determine what the customer values. The position requires at a minimum 10% travel to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, testing sites, and engineering partnership locations. **Qualifications and Experience:** This position requires: a thorough understanding of the locomotive products including rail customer decision making criteria and operations; a thorough understanding of business processes and governance; demonstrated ability to deliver high velocity programs; and strong leadership, coach, and mentor skill set. Complete understanding of company policies and procedures related to manufacturing, engineering and/or maintenance are also required. In addition, at least fifteen years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
