Trim Engineer responsible for application readiness of seat trim components as well as confirmation of new trim materials and technology. The trim Engineer will support Pre PSC Engineering Workstreams, managing deliverables to support and ensure on-time seat system delivery to our vehicle programs.
BS in Engineering, Master’s degree preferred 8+ years of experience in Materials / Material Engineering Thorough knowledge of Program Timing and proven skill of interpreting process deliverables for Seats Engineering Full Program experience in Seats trim development from initial design through launch on at least one major program Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated understanding of seat system/sub-system/components Demonstrated understanding of seat trim competitive benchmarking, value, and supply-base Position will require occasional travel to Ford and supplier assembly plants for readiness and sign-off events and travel to global Ford engineering hubs. Responsible for application readiness confirmation for new material / technology SME signoff / AR approval Identify and develop new technology for seat materials Maintain Pre-PSC Documentation for Seat Trim ESOW (including attachments) Perfect Drawing Plan (PDP) Agreed Cost Model (ACM) Support Pre-PSC trim book management Maintain Trim Sourcing Strategy Identify, develop and approve supplier to meet sourcing strategy Quotation verification Manage SEOB process Support To4 activity around Pre-PSC
