Product Consultant
We are recruiting for an experienced Product Consultant to join the newly formed product development function, accountable for developing, managing and executing on a product development plan for a specific proposition area within the range of CPS products, including Workforce Development and Place.

The successful candidate will work with the relevant proposition leads, technologists and solutions teams, develop standard, modular and repeatable solutions, that can be tailored and deployed into customer opportunities across Capita Public Services and beyond.

What you'll be doing :

Take responsibility for the performance and quality of the product, driving growth; ensuring timescales are met, products are compelling and delivered in line with business strategy and targetsActively manage the detailed product/product line roadmap for your area, embracing standards and controls, their evolution and implementation to make them the best they can be for Capita and our customersInnovation – drive innovation in our approach to product design and managementAdopt and enhance the product development process, along with associated tooling, to ensure a consistent, focused and predictable approach to product developmentTo compliance with the relevant authorisation and control processes are in place for product lifecycle, ensuring implementation and monitoring the levels of compliance against Capita Policies and StandardsEnsue the prioritisation and co-ordination of workflow for your product area on a ongoing basisOngoing vendor alignment to capture, latest releases, updates, pricing and technology roadmapsIdentifying areas for improvement in the product lifecycle process to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for :

Demonstrable experience of product design and management within a similar environmentDeveloped skills and knowledge relevant to the Workforce Development or Place proposition areasStrong understanding of technology trends and how they affect Capita and our customers, develop a detailed understanding of Capita solutions and services, which must inform our product roadmap. Evidence of experience of defining and delivering multi-technology, innovative, cost competitive and repeatable products or solutionsDemonstrable skills in understanding the needs of organisations and designing and delivering compelling solutions to address themDemonstrate an understanding of the bigger picture of how our team fits into the broader organisation and articulate how the function should align and integrate to positively contributeProactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clientsAble to manage competing priorities for individual work activities to deliver against agreed priorities and deadlines, escalating if required
