Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Management accountability/ownership for:- 

Sourcing & Procurement of all associated F&F components & relevant VM equipment for all TFG Group retail Brands store build/launch within development program related to financial year store Capex release. Negotiation of all component price points with 3rd party suppliers:- Best price to TFG aligned to identified quality, fit for function, value engineering, asset depreciation longevity, payment terms, volume discounts Forecasting and planning of centrally procured shop fitting & VM equipment supplied to store development Capex projects aligned to defined stock turn KPI’s Forecasting & Planning cycle both local & international subject to manufacture lead-times (e.g. Production sequencing, draw-off requirements, logistics, shipping, clearance, duties & last mile logistics to development site destination/DC storage) Oversight & approval of related “bespoke Retail Brand concept” elements (elements unique to retail Brand CI store concept)   Management of stock book value, aging, obsolete risk and reporting to finance and auditing teams. Management of multiple stock book plants and cross balancing to SAP values/trends & reconciliations  (both SAP & Excel)  3rd party suppliers: Sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, Management of supplier relationships, SLA fulfilment & production/manufacture quality assurance. Resource planning, manufacture production sequencing in procurement portfolio. Formalized contracts and SLA agreements with key 3rd party suppliers secured.  People management of direct internal TFG team and external 3rd party suppliers. Plus oversight to TFG DC team allocated to shop fitting warehouse. Above points related to F&F/VM approved Capex/Ops spend in given financial year for store rollouts to current trading stores (multiple unit and location distributions) DC storage location associated to development held stock both TFG DC & 3rd party suppliers storage locations Leased storage m2 rentals negotiation and rental periods – within approved annualized cost centre budget, including approval of any cost recharge. Active member of TFG Store Development management/Exco team.

Store Development Procurement:- 

Best price, quality, and supplier selection (fit for function, value engineering, asset depreciation longevity – all current TFG Africa Retail Brand offering. Compliance to procurement standards, sourcing and supplier compliance to business requirements.  3rd party suppliers pack & wrap, storage, logistics & delivery standards – timing and quality control. Research, evaluate & propose new finishes, new to market elements & manufacture efficiencies opportunities that benefit TFG purchase price point cost and asset longevity (local and international travel required) Ensure “TFG store development procurement” - best practise mind-set/goals related to;  process, trends and efficiencies are maintained at all times and new initiatives are table appropriately for evaluation and approval by HOB

Central Planning;

Forecasting and demand planning,  Long term contracts and SLA management Obsolete component & financial risk (right price, right component at right time with no overage/wastage risk for development program fulfilment during a financial capital cycle)  Production/manufacture cash flow management align to “just in time procurement” principals Correct and best systems & procedures in place

Stock management:

Stock movement,  Weekly, monthly stock Data analytics, trends, risk reporting to HOB, finance and audit – both internal & external as required.  Process management and SLA’s oversight associated to required multiple storage locations. 

Warehousing and Stock storage:

Management of all stock storage locations, both TFG owned and 3rd party Administration oversight of all stock movement in and out of all storage locations.  Forecasting and planning of space requirements and strategy.  M2 rental negotiations & Budget management for storage costs. 

General management activities(including Exco member deliverables):

Cost centre owner – budget & Opex management,  People management – direct reporting team, dotted line reporting oversight of retail Brand cluster managers associated to procurement needs & elements  Cross-functional management with other business divisions: Brands, Group Logistics, Group finance and finance systems. 

Minimum requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management 5 - 10 years Procurement/buyer in: Retail/manufacturing/facilities environment. Retail Ops management experience would be a benefit 3 - 5 years Senior management role – strong gravitas, presence, entrepreneurial mind-set & self-starter skill set critical in this diverse cross retail Branded role/dynamic within TFG retail offering (20+ retail brand diversity within TFG Africa). Strong analytical skills and mindset.  Supply chain and demand management experience Retail Development experience
