Procurement Specialist - Supply Chain
What you’ll do

The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the Supply Chain Business Partners to shape and drive the procurement agenda, ensuring strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization in alignment with business objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

Develops a strong understanding of procurement procedures, category strategies, and supplier management tools to optimize purchasing decisions.Primarily responsible for sourcing activities, data gathering, supplier evaluation, and supporting the end-to-end tender process.Ensures effective governance of procurement demand management, driving process efficiency and cost control.Assists in supplier performance management and commercial contract administration to enhance service delivery and optimize commercial terms.Conducts market research and cost analysis to support procurement strategies and supplier negotiations.Uses analytical skills and procurement expertise to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies.May provide guidance to junior staff and coordinate procurement-related activities within the supply chain function.Who you are

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience:

Procurement & Supplier Management – Strong understanding of supplier relationship management, sourcing strategies, and procurement processes to drive cost efficiency and value creation.Category Management & Market Insights – Clear understanding of local and global market dynamics, economic trends, and commercial models to develop effective sourcing strategies.Contract & Risk Management – Ensures Vodafone’s interests are protected through the development and management of commercial contracts, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies.Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization – Analyzes procurement data, challenges demand, and identifies opportunities to optimize spending in alignment with business strategy and budget.Negotiation & Stakeholder Management – Supports complex negotiations and leads local tactical negotiations, leveraging various procurement techniques to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.Business Partnering – Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, build strong relationships, and deliver value through procurement initiatives.

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

University degree, preferably in Procurement / Supply Chain, Finance / Business, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a procurement or supply chain roleStrong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and EnglishAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus)Not a perfect fit?
