As a **Procurement Specialist** , you will oversee multiple supplier accounts, lead sourcing activities, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services critical to our business. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, requiring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.
This is a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) and can be based in either Rockford, IL or Windsor Locks, CT. Weekly onsite presence is required.
**What You Will Do**
+ Manage all aspects of assigned supplier relationships, including contract performance, delivery assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Execute procurement strategies, including issuing RFPs/RFQs, evaluating bids, negotiating terms, and preparing purchase orders.
+ Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
+ Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
+ Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
+ Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
+ Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
+ Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
+ May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
+ Travel requirement up to 10% depending on customer need.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Supply Chain experience working in the aerospace industry or other manufacturing environment.
+ Working experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
+ Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
+ Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
