Procurement Specialist
Job Summary
In this role, you will develop and manage global vendor relationships within a specific commodity category, driving cost reduction initiatives and ensuring supply chain efficiency and sustainability across multiple regions. You will collaborate closely with the Global Category Manager and various ATS stakeholders to align category strategies with overall business objectives. Additionally, you will support the Global Category Manager in workshops, report preparation, and follow-up activities for key initiatives across ATS divisions. A key aspect of the role will involve identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with key suppliers to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
+ Lead complex negotiations and manage contracts to secure optimal terms and conditions.
+ Negotiate framework agreements covering pricing, credit terms, discounts, rebates, and general terms for multiple projects.
+ Evaluate and approve vendors based on their ability to meet company objectives.
+ Use historical and benchmarking data to ensure competitive pricing.
+ Conduct ongoing reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities in products, services, equipment, and expenses.
+ Mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, operations, finance, procurement) to align category strategies.
+ Maintain industry knowledge and stay informed on supplier business and supply market trends.
+ Promote sustainability practices in category strategies to support company goals.
+ Identify process improvements and implement best practices in global category management
Skills and Education
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, business administration or equivalent discipline
+ Certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or CPM is a plus
Skills:
+ Strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
+ Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
+ Deep understanding of global procurement processes, market dynamics, and supply chain management
