Description We are offering an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts. Our industry requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle buying processes, cater to customer service needs, manage invoices, and create as well as enter purchase details. This role necessitates an onsite presence. This position will offer training, yet does need to have an individual who is able to oversee necessary contracts and ensure procedures are handled appropriately. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently manage buying processes • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and vendors • Oversee and handle invoice management • Create and execute purchase orders • Enter and maintain accurate purchase information in the system • Proactively resolve issues related to procurement activities • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely procurement processes • Monitor and maintain supplier performance and relationship • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes. Requirements • Proven experience with buying processes, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement procedures and strategies. • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Extensive experience handling invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. • Ability to create and manage purchase orders, demonstrating an understanding of supply chain operations. • Proficiency in entering and tracking purchases in a procurement system or similar software, highlighting strong data entry skills.
