Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a junior procurement specialist to join our team in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing, oil and gas, or pipeline industry. This role will involve supporting operations material procurement and project-based procurement of goods and services. The position requires collaboration with site staff and occasional travel to site. The role is office-based from Monday to Thursday with the option to work from home on Fridays.

ResponsibilitiesManage the purchase order lifecycle, including supplier set-up, competitive sourcing, and bid evaluation with support from management.Initiate conversations around terms and conditions.Draft Purchase Requisitions and Orders in collaboration with stakeholders and engineers.Facilitate contract change orders according to the change management process.Support the collection and recording of critical contract documents and deliverables.Handle expediting and coordinate logistics for shipments as assigned.Process and troubleshoot purchase order-related invoices.Provide general procurement support to the Operations team as assigned.Essential Skills3-5 years of procurement experience in industrial manufacturing/production, oil and gas, or pipeline industry.Experience in ERP systems.Experience with the RFX process.Familiarity with terms and conditions.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in an EPCM environment is considered an asset.Experience with Oracle software is considered an asset.Experience in strategic sourcing.Work Environment

The role is based in the office from Monday to Thursday with the option to work from home on Fridays. There is a gym in the building and parking available across the street with expenses covered. The work environment involves interaction with the site manager, site admin coordinator, site project engineer, and other team members. The company has numerous ongoing and upcoming projects and serves a large market in the US and Canada, ensuring consistent work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
