Your role and responsibilities1.\tFor global category sourcing parts, implements effective sourcing strategies and provide professional advice to global category manager for strategy making/optimizing, work together with ABB Europe to work out strategy and coordinate strategy implementation in CN.2.\tFor local category sourcing parts, develop sourcing strategy, evaluate and develop the supply base. Can introduce new suppliers as appropriate to meet current and future business needs.3.\tWork closely with R&D and Quality Dept., manage well of responsible components development to meet ABB’s quality standard and time plan;4.\tManages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines. 5.\tIdentifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the category6.\tParticipating in the contract negotiation of the global suppliers together with the Global Category Manager, and leading the contract negotiations of the local suppliers.7.\tAdapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers. 8.\tContributes to, and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the responsible category sourcing performance targets are achieved.9.\tDefine & constant improvement of value chain with focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes, considering total cost.10.\tClose cooperation with purchasing team to support capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planning and work with Quality to improve supplier performance (OTD, DPPM, lead time etc.) 11.\tManage the price and quota.
Qualifications for the role1.\tBachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Engineering/Electrical or other related 2.\tMinimum 3 years sourcing related working experience 3.\tGood knowledge in the electronic and mechanical category & industry would be preferred4.\tGood knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge5.\tGood analytical skills and good communication skills6.\tFluent English in both speaking and writing7.\tAbility to handle complexity and work under pressure8.\tMicrosoft office/SAP experience will be plus, and good at data analysis and report
