In this dual role, you’ll be both the Procurement Project Manager and Procurement Supplier Engineer for Imaging Components at the Best production site. You’ll enhance procurement capabilities, ensuring seamless product development, supply chain, service, and finance integration. You will support Philips in innovating, staying cost-effective, and maintaining high quality by building strong supplier partnerships.
Your roleProcurement Project Manager
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
Create business cases to drive productivity improvements with cross-functional support.
Mitigate procurement risks (cost, quality, availability).
Represent Procurement in project and supplier activities, ensuring stakeholder engagement.
Support commodity strategy and execution, including phase-in/out processes and supplier communication.
Manage supplier performance, cost reduction, and supplier selection processes.
Engage in early supplier involvement, concept savings, and product development.
Supplier Engineer
Participate in the Supplier Sourcing Process and assess new supplier capabilities.
Support NPI teams and collaborate with R&D on Design for Excellence (DfX).
Lead Supplier Quality improvement initiatives through APQP.
Manage Supplier Quality Notifications (SQNs), SCARs, and corrective actions.
Ensure critical quality characteristics are met and manage supplier-caused non-conformances.
Oversee Supplier Performance Monitoring and conduct risk assessments.
Drive APQP planning, contribute to Supplier Project Book, and ensure compliance with Part Submission Warrants (PSW).
Provide QMS support and assist with customer audits and quality agreements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Report supplier performance and engage with internal stakeholders.
You will be part ofThis role combines project management, supplier engineering, and quality management to ensure the success of Philips' imaging component production. You will report to the Procurement Business Partner CT/AMI HMB, located in Hamburg, Germany.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experienceMaster's degree with engineering background (e.g. industrial engineering) or comparable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an assembly-type industry with a strong technical background and experience in procurement, Supplier Quality, supplier auditing, or supply chain functions.
Proven track in driving cost improvement and influencing/negotiation skills.
Lean and Design for Excellence (DfX) experience.
Strong project management capabilities and experience in leading complex, international projects.
Structured and result-oriented way of working, being proactive, and likes taking initiatives.
Effective communication skills to interface with various functions and represent the procurement function within the business unit.
Strong accountability in managing short-term business issues and providing timely solutions.
