Responsibilities:
Oversee BEE and community procurement performance and encourage improvement activities.
Play a constructive role in all stages, from issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) to sourcing, adjudication, contract award, contracting, delivery/invoice, and payment.
Assist with pre-award and post-award activities, including qualification reviews, evaluations, and adjudications.
Lead SAP MM Module: Supervise purchase order posting and liaise with relevant departments for pre- and post-PO activities.
Manage Contracts: Assist with post-award contract approvals and participate in commercial terms negotiations.
Oversee Tendering Process: Ensure transparency, compliance, and selection of qualified vendors with strong reputations.
Guarantee accurate goods receipt and issuance, timely data entry, and secure and orderly material storage.
Build productive relationships with local and international suppliers, evaluate their performance against contracts, and ensure compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Oversee budgets and planning, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Analyze and report on expenditures, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
Advise on employee training needs, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and assist in achieving diversity and inclusion targets.
Monitor, manage, and participate in safety activities, create employee schedules, assign responsibilities, and track completion.
Identify deviations from plans, implement corrective actions, report on non-compliance issues, and manage allocated resources effectively.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships and communication channels with all teams and departments.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Mining Industry preferable.
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Commerce, Economic or Supply Chain Management.
Project Management qualification.
CIPS Accredited.
