**Job Description**
**Procurement and Fiscal Specialist**
The **Procurement and Fiscal Specialist** is responsible for supporting the Student Affairs Business Service Center (SABSC) in its business operations, contributing to SABSC objectives and the overall mission of the university by ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and efficient use of resources.
The Procurement and Fiscal Specialist supports procurement operations, processing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. This role serves as a key resource for Student Affairs departments by providing efficient and effective fiscal management and procurement services. Key responsibilities include the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions for Student Affairs Departments and Student Organizations, assisting with student hires, supervising student employees, and responding to customer inquiries.
The Procurement and Fiscal Specialist assists with the annual budget cycle by supporting the Office of Residential Life and other Student Affairs Departments. Responsibilities include preparing new blanket purchase orders, establishing and maintaining budget lines, preparing for fiscal year-end closing of operating and program budgets, closing purchase orders, maintaining funding balances, and closing out outstanding invoices. This position also processes weekly deposit requests.
In order to create a more inclusive community within the Division of Student Affairs, each staff member is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.
Hiring Range: $26.76/hr to $33.43/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.
**Requirements**
+ Three or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Understanding of auxiliary budgets
+ Functional use of PeopleSoft HR and Financial Systems is preferred
+ Functional use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as GoogleSuite is required
+ Previous experience in a customer service environment
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
