As Procurement Engineer for installation and commissioning, you will work with your team and be in constant contact with our bid managers, engineers, project managers, and site managers. You offer a cross-project view and are involved in important topics such as scope definitions and creation of technical specifications, onboarding of new suppliers, supplier management, quality management, process optimization, and sustainability.

Focusing on the technical side of procurement of installation and commission services for Siemens Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgears and Busbar Systems.Working closely with your commercial counterpart within the procurement team, the Project Procurement Manager for Installation & Commissioning.Participating at project meetings from the acquisition phase to the execution phase to advise on technical matters, feasibility, and scope definition and drive the implementation of project procurement strategies.Supporting the vetting and onboarding of new suppliers, creating and maintaining the technical training/qualification level at suppliers, and managing a sustainable international supplier base from a technical point of view.Defining the technical set-up of Requests for Quotations and preparing the technical documentation and specification for the RfQs during the bid and execution phase.Supporting contract negotiations with technical knowledge and insights.Supporting from a technical point of view, the supplier selection and contracting awardingBeing the technical topic owner for the third party installation & commissioning procedure across projects and participating in procurement improvement initiatives together with our site management, project management, and lead engineering, such as providing insight into technical specifications, processes, savings, and efficiency gainsParticipating 2-3 weeks per year in on-site activities for projects within Europe (and Asia) to keep your skills, practical experience, and insights in on-site project execution up to date.Your success is grounded in
Your experience and deep technical knowledge of the workings on site combined with the ability to convey information in a structured and accessible way to your colleagues. You understand the international project environment in Europe and Asia and can provide extensive descriptions of the scope of the works and processes.

You will be part of the procurement team in The Hague, consisting of your manager, Michael, and colleagues Angela, Jana, Lisa, Doruk, Jerry, Jip, Kutlay, and Willem. A close-knit team with diverse cultural backgrounds, where collaboration, respect, honesty, and humor are key. The working language is alternately English and Dutch.
