KBR’s Defense and Technology Solutions (DTS) business unit is seeking to hire Electronic Security System Technicians to join our Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. CIP provides expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Utilities/Control Systems for the DoD, FAA, and Federal Law Enforcement.
KBR is seeking an experienced Procurement/Buyer (Logistics Specialist) to support a US Government customer located in North Charleston, SC area.
Job Summary: The primary duty of this position is to order alarm system equipment, material and associated spare parts to support KBR’s Marine Corps Electronic Security System Sustainment program. Under this program KBR maintains the electronic security systems at all of the Marine Corps bases in the U.S. and Japan.
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be able to research parts availability, contact vendors, place orders and track the orders until the parts are delivered to our on-site technicians. Often this will require extensive research to find replacement parts for obsolete equipment that is no longer made. Orders are tracked from initial placement to completion in a Government-owned cloud database. Most orders are placed using a KBR Purchase Card. Orders over certain dollar threshold are placed by submitting an Electronic Purchase Requisition (EPR) in Costpoint. Manage their KBR Purchase Card Account which will require the uploading of receipts to the account management website and selecting the correct accounting codes.Work directly with our KBR field technicians and our Government Customer NIWC, who will both be placing orders and inquiring about delivery schedules.Schedule equipment rentals, training classes, and equipment repairs as directed by the KBR program manager who he will report directly to.Education:
Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, an additional 8 years of equivalent work experience can be substituted.Current Professional Logistics Certification – i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1; ORHave equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training); ORPossess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.Experience:
Six (6) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.Four (4) years of experience in support of C4ISR systems.Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.Experience may be achieved simultaneously.Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills and be proficient with cloud-based asset management and financial accounting systems.Must be proficient with MS Outlook and MS Office software such as Excel and Word.Candidate must also have the physical ability to lift equipment under 25 pounds, such as cameras and IT equipment, and package it for shipment.#LI-ML2
