Procurement Analyst

We are seeking a Procurement Analyst for our First Quality Tissue SE facility located in Anderson, SC.  This position requires an individual with a superb skill set that excels in service to internal customers, is a team player, demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, and can build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.  Beyond the technical qualifications of the position, it is important that the individual demonstrates a character with strong family values and a willingness to build a solid working relationship with others with hands-on ownership. The key to this position will be an understanding and experience of sourcing and order management processes and the ability to enact the sourcing process with cross functional teams.

  

Primary responsibilities include:

Confirms pricing aligns with negotiated terms and requests quotes for new or non-contract itemsNegotiates some commercial termsPrimary focus on Indirect Procurement needs, some Spare PartsReviews quotes, requisitions, and purchase orders for accuracy and conformance with established policies, procedures, and expectationsConverts requisitions to purchase orders and confirms deliveries with suppliersExpedites delivery of orders, follows up on late deliveries, tracks and follows up on backorders, and makes special arrangements for deliveryWorks with suppliers and internal customers to resolve invoice discrepanciesAssesses risks to supply and works to mitigateWorks cross-functionally on continuous improvement activities and project supportInvestigate and evaluate new sources of supply for MRO parts/servicesWorks with team to maintain systems with accurate part numbers, pricing, and suppliers to ensure efficient processesEstablishes and maintains effective communications and partnerships with suppliersLeverage supplier base for more favorable pricingTrains new hiresOther duties as requested

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

BS in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or related field preferred3+ years Procurement/Purchasing experience preferredSolid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook with SAP and Infor proficiency a plusGood communication and facilitation skillsMust be customer-focused, team-oriented, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
