This role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently packaging and warehousing salt products for a salt packaging facility.

Principal Accountabilities

Optimize drying including loader break reliefMobile equipment operation including forklifts for van truck and flat bed loading Perform building housekeeping tasksCollect samples, quality testing and product storageCoordinate hauling of trash salt/recycle balesUse of a computer systems to monitor equipment and data entrySetup and packaging equipment operation

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or older.Ability to perform physical job duties which may include  shoveling, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience Basic use of a computerAbility to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in manufacturing and/or production-related workForklift  experience Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP and/or HMIExperience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)Ability to understand and communicate in English and Spanish (verbally and writing)
