Process Specialist, Cash Application – Global Business Services – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time non-exempt level position.
The NA Global Business Services Center has an opening for a full-time Process Specialist in the Decatur office. The position has high engagement in a wide variety of functions focused on providing excellent customer service for ADM’s internal and external customers by efficiently executing assigned processes. The individual will be actively involved with many of ADM's accounting systems, along with other software systems used by controlling colleagues.
Experience:
High School Diploma
Associates Degree Preferred
Job Requirements:Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, etc.)JDE, Agris and IBM systems is a plus. We also work in other systems like Sage 500, Sage 300, AS400, Adage, Oracle, SpecNet and other various programs.Strong understanding of compliance procedures, policies and application of those principles.In depth understanding of internal controls and the ability to identify and correct weaknesses as needed.Ability to function independently, identifying problems and opportunities for improvement combined with the ability to formulate and implement feasible solutions.Ability to function in a deadline oriented environment while paying attention to details.Team Player and leadership capabilitiesStrong Communication skills with staff, manager & customers, via on teams, in person, email or on the phoneStrong Time Management SkillsFlexible, willing to do what it takes to get the task completed.Problem solving and analytical skills.Dependable and desire to learn with a positive attitude.Interpersonal ability to actively listen, clarify, lead, or channel a discussion.Strong Data Entry Skills.Ability to effectively communicate and cross-train staff in a global environment
Responsibilities:Able to learn quickly and function in a deadline oriented environment while paying close attention to detailsA team player with strong customer service skills who is willing to actively listen, lead, and channel discussionAbility to set up, lead meetings and discussions with the team and with customers as neededContinual focus on process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.Ability to create and update process documentation/standard operating proceduresRecommend, develop, and implement process and system improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.Track, document and communicate planned and implemented changes within GBS.Ensure that staff is completing their duties in a timely and efficient manner and that all high priority items are being handled.Coach and Train the staff on processes and process improvements.Provide outstanding customer service for ADM’s internal and external customersEnsure compliance with all ADM policies and procedures.Work well and communicate effectively with internal and external customers to aid in timely resolution of requests.Monitor distribution of work utilizing multiple systems to gather and analyze data.Efficiently accomplish goals set for the team and individual goals.Help identify and centralize work with the Cash Application ManagerVarious other duties such as monitoring key metrics within the group, and fielding inquiries from accounting, credit, collections, CRS’s, cash management, settlement, locations & commercial groups.Monitor defects, identify & address problem areas within GBS processes and assist in coming up with solutionsAssist with Audit inquiries and returning them timely
