We are looking for:
The Process Safety Leader role will provide overall leadership for Process Safety excellence in the organization. This role will execute the requirements to be best in class by going beyond internal and regulatory requirements to ensure effective process safety practices. This will be done by working collaboratively across the GBU health and safety team and working closely with Process Safety Engineers, GBU Technical Teams, HSE Managers and Site Process Safety facilitators. This role will serve as the expert on technical process safety questions and lead with an innovation mindset.

Trend and Data Analysis of Process Safety Events
Assist with Process Safety related investigations
Train, coach, and mentor GBU Process Safety Engineers and site level process hazard analysis leaders
Identify improvements in process safety practices
Keep the GBU Leadership team informed of highest process safety risks in the GBU
Collaborate across the organization by participating in subject matter teams
Identify development opportunities or direct reports and process safety analysis leaders
Coordinate or participate in Process Safety auditing efforts (specific focus in U.S.) to ensure regulations are being met.
Develop good relationships with colleagues and sites to ensure close collaboration
Promote a culture of safety through open communication
Assess Risk Analysis and provide feedback to Analysis Leaders to improve performance
Site Support:
Provide technical guidance and support to industrial sites.
Conduct site visits to assess compliance and identify hazards.
Coach and mentor site HSE Managers, Process Risk Analysis Leaders and Site Managers
Lead investigations of complex process safety events
Be an active participant at sites, as needed, to deliver solutions to complex problems

You will bring:
A minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University degree in a technical field (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
10+ years of experience in plant operations technical role and/or process safety management
Familiarity with industry standards and practices (API, ASME, NFPA, etc.)
Knowledge of local and national process safety regulations, such as EPA RMP, OSHA PSM, SEVESO
Knowledge of dispersion modeling techniques and software (ALOHA, PHAST, RMP*Comp, etc.)
