This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for self-motivated individuals to contribute to a step change in Process Safety and COMAH management across the Scotch category. As part of a newly formed team, the Process Safety Coordinator will work closely with operational teams on sites across Scotch to mentor, coach and lead compliance improvements. **About the role:**
Working withing the Scotch Governance team this role will be responsible for providing direct support to the Process Safety and Fire Manager and COMAH Managers to ensure the efficiency of major accident hazard management. The role holder will work in collaboration with Technical Specialists, provides direct operational support and mentorship to ensure all sites are compliant in accordance with current COMAH legislation and Diageo Global and Scotch risk management standards
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Coordination of various activities such as: Hazardous Substance Consents submissions and regulatory requirements, fire safety to align with GRMS requirements, and the activities of the Technical Audit function
+ Work closely and collaboratively to support the Scotch COMAH Managers, Compliance Managers and Management teams on site to ensure that Process Safety, Fire Safety and COMAH requirements are documented, communicated, and understood at all levels of site operations and support functions.
+ Supervise Process and Major accident related events while supporting the reactive monitoring process, ensuring that incidents are managed, investigated thoroughly and in line with HSG 65
+ Coordinate, support and document COMAH internal meetings, and incident investigations into Process Safety events categorised as medium, high or other classifications that have significance across other Diageo sites and ensuring that CAPA is effectively managed by site management teams.
+ Support the development and maintenance of site induction programs, ensuring site induction delivery for visitors and contractors clearly communicates and tests understanding of Process Safety and COMAH requirements.
**Experience / skills required:**

**Essential**
+ Attainment of, or willing to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate and Process Safety NEBOSH Certificate
+ Experience of working in a team and meeting the demands of a demanding environment.
+ Proficient in the use of standard business (MS Office).
+ Must possess full UK driver’s license.
**Desirable**
+ Knowledge of COMAH regulations and a Proven track record in handling H&S incidents and accident investigations
+ NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards)
+ Tech IOSH membership (or above)
**Experience**
Demonstrated Experience record in a FMCG production or manufacturing environment.
