We're hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us. We are currently hiring a Process Leader, Continuous Improvement for our Millersburg, Oregon location. This position will report into our Continuous Improvement Manager. This is a day shift position and typically works Monday – Friday. The Continuous Improvement Process Leader coordinates and leads a wide range of complex Lean and Continuous Improvement activities that are designed to remove waste and improve safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Achieving success will require using various problem-solving techniques on unique specialty metals processes. Relentless energy and perseverance will be necessary to influence change and contribute toward improving manufacturing efficiencies. To be successful and provide immediate impact, you will have to quickly grasp ATI’s processes and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams that include all ATI employees. The Continuous Improvement Lead will work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities. Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary to engage the workforce and facilitate continuous improvement discussions. Strong oral and written skills will be necessary to transition Continuous Improvement into a standardized repeatable process or solution. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist in the implementation of Operational Excellence initiatives, including strategy deployment, KPI tracking, and daily management processes. + Support task standardization efforts and help maintain documentation for standardized work. + Participate in 5S activities to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. + Aid in conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to identify and resolve process inefficiencies and issues. + Assist in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Process Mapping (PM) exercises to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes. + Contribute to the development and execution of Operational Excellence routines, such as Kata. + Support innovation initiatives to drive operational improvements and enhance productivity. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze performance, and recommend improvements. + Maintain accurate records of Op Ex activities and assist in preparing reports and presentations. + Gather, analyze, and improve industrial process information to enable data-informed decision making. + Use rigorous logic and standardized Op Ex methods to problem solve. + Teach and coach a daily management system to act on performance discrepancies. + Manage lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality, providing value to the customer. + Organize and present Op Ex results to varying audiences. + Partner with and help to develop teams to improve overall Op Ex competency. + Be a "leader of change". Teach and coach change management to promote individual change readiness. + Facilitate, teach, and coach cross-functional teams to accomplish Lean objectives. + Implement and support auditing of operations and processes for adherence to standards. + Promote culture change, employee engagement, and empowerment in the workforce. + A Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2 years of Chemical Manufacturing Experience + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). + Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Operational Excellence methodologies. + Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to engage the workforce and facilitate Operational Excellence discussions and activities. + Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to teach others. + Picks up on technical details quickly and can learn new skills and knowledge. **Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Demonstrated ability to be a leader, committed to continuing personal development. + Ability to build trust and create strong morale and spirit within the team. + Relate well to everyone internal or external to the organization. + Establishes clear directions and distributes workload appropriately. **We** **thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
