Process Engineering Specialist (LAP)

What you'll do...

Maintain a safe work environment and team behaviorManage the workload of the assigned engineering teamMonitoring projects against schedule within agreed costs and in accordance with deadlines.Validation activities for new equipment and process.Reporting on key risks and providing recommendations for mitigation. Milestone meetings and document meeting outcomes for follow-up by respective category owners.Compliance with required standards i.e. Health and Safety, Environmental and regulatory requirements.Identify process improvements and constraints as it pertains to paint process, quality and engineering.Maintain a high level of respect and integrity with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

 

You'll have... 

Education: Bachelors in a technical or engineering field5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Minimal 15 years paint process and maintenance experience.Previous Greenfield / Brownfield installation experiencePrevious experience working with multiple contractors and internal skilled trades.

Automotive experience in a vehicle assembly plantPrior experience handling a unionized work forceSafety and Quality experience preferredKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principlesAbility to work independently with limited supervisionPast experience assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety and qualityStrong organizational and administrative skillsAbility to multi-taskStrong problem-solving and conflict management skillsSuccessful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skillsUse FIS Plant monitoring software to review faults and cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installationsUse QLS Plant Quality software to review quality concerns and assist with cut-offs and resolutionsTroubleshoot PLC issues, Robot Application issues and other critical imputes to the Sealing and Painting ProcessReview prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematicsUse FIS Plant monitoring software to review faults and cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation projects and installationsUse QLS Plant Quality software to review quality concerns and assist with cut-offs and resolutionsTroubleshoot PLC issues, Robot Application issues and other critical imputes to the Sealing and Painting Process Review prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics Update program backups for automation Program new installations for Paint Automation and conveyor systems Reprogram automation for engineering changes, thru-put and quality improvements Coordinate automation repairs and use Maximo to generate CWO and 4D’s accordingly Understand/monitor and adjust spray booth conditions to ensure Quality Targets are achieved

In this position:

The role of the Paint Launch and Engineering Team Coordinator is to be the voice of the plant in paint process, maintenance, automation and systems. This individual will support/coordinate overall process for product launches, including ensuring delivery of product, key milestones, and product content.
