**Process Engineer – Lincoln, NE Oilseeds**
This is a salary, exempt position
The Lincoln Oilseeds Facility is seeking a Process Engineer with the skills to improve, troubleshoot, and optimize the food and feed manufacturing processes. As a member of the production team, the Process Engineer will utilize engineering skills to collaborate with colleagues to support operational excellence. This position is responsible for process improvements in all facets of operation through direct contributions of project development from conception through start-up. The Process Engineer will assist in managing day to day operations, track and understand operating costs, production yields, quality, process performance and mentoring others. This position may work with contractor management for the completion of projects within the department.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Identify improvement opportunities and lead Focused Improvement efforts in support of plant goals for safety, cost, yield, quality, and reliability.
+ Design and manage projects to meet operations specifics and expectations, includes methods for sustainability.
+ Identify health, safety, environmental, and quality needs and requirements, and ensures such considerations are included in the development and modification of facilities to drive improvements.
+ Analyze existing processes for cost savings, reliability, and performance improvement opportunities.
+ Assist in developing colleagues through training, technical support mentoring, and development of production colleagues.
+ Act as a role model for safety and actively participates in safety programs.
+ Project management which may require, purchasing of materials and supplies, equipment installation, budget tracking, employee training, startup of projects, and lookbacks.
+ Lead plant operations to maintain personnel and process safely.
+ Perform troubleshooting and make recommendations for improvements to company facilities, equipment, and safety programs
+ Interact directly with shift supervision to produce desired operational results and employee development.
+ Conduct daily review of KPI paperwork (i.e., Operational & Shift Supervisor, quality reports and Production Review).
+ Participate in Performance Excellence initiatives, such as Losses to Action, DMAIC projects, and Zero-Failure deployments.
**Minimum Job Requirements:**
+ B.S. in Engineering or equivalent.
+ 1+ years of plant operations experience.
+ Demonstrated problem solving skills.
+ Ability to develop reports and presentations to communicate results.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills..
+ Ability to work closely across company job functions.
+ Ability to look beyond the task at hand, anticipate challenges, and develop options to overcome them.
+ Effective interaction with multiple employees and managers to prioritize demands.
+ Continuous improvement utilizing independent judgment to solve problems and have excellent organizational skills in order to effectively handle multiple ongoing tasks.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
+ Ability to move around by stooping, bending, kneeling or squatting frequently. May also require periods of prolonged sitting or standing.
+ May require work on ladders, scaffolding or other work at heights.
+ Proactive participation in safety, environmental, and quality activities is expected to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
