The Process Control Engineer will:

Administer the U. S. Steel Safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the assigned facility.Perform a full range of process control duties in the blast furnace area.Learn and understand the iron and steelmaking process.Review, revise and update procedures.Analyze, process data, and make recommendations to fine tune operations.Work directly with the operators to solve problems involving safety, environmental and process issues in the blast furnace.Conduct data analysis and report generation. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering.Preferred candidate will have mining or heavy industry experience.Coordination and direction of the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility.Skilled in the directing and coordinating efforts of employees assigned to the operating facility to maximize operating efficiencies with minimum interruption.
