Our Water Group has developed many long-term relationships in the water market and a strong pipeline of work. We have a continued focus on growth over the next five years and as such, we are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Melbourne Team.
The Opportunity:
Perform various process engineering tasks, which may include preparing PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, reports and design criteria to support complex engineering projects such as water, wastewater, recycled water, resource recovery, biosolids, and odour treatment facilities. Collaborate with stakeholders in client project meetings, coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants, owners and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors in preparation and coordination of project specifications. Perform calculations to analyse, model and design process components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software. Contribute to the development of processes through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Prepare process engineering documents by developing process specifications, plans and schedules. Work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure constructability of the process designs and compatibility with the design intent. Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations and communications pertaining to specific project deliverables. Assist with site investigations as well as commissioning and construction support works as required by the projects. Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating to support engineering projects.About you:
Tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering, with relevant professional experience in the water and wastewater industry, ideally 2-5 years’ experience. Highly developed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients. Highly developed consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes.Stantec offerings:
