Job Title: Process Engineer Job Description The primary focus of the Manufacturing / Process Engineer will be to review the requirements and specifications of customer orders, and subsequently create machine routings and process flows to manufacture each product. This role involves developing, configuring, and optimizing manufacturing processes from inception through start-up, providing process documentation and operating instructions, and monitoring compliance to applicable standards and specifications. The role also requires daily interaction with customers and vendors to interpret their needs and requirements, reviewing industry standards and requirements, and collaborating with outside vendors for outsourced services like heat treating and plating. Responsibilities + Review requirements and specifications of customer orders. + Create machine routings and process flows to manufacture each product. + Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through start-up. + Provide process documentation and operating instructions. + Monitor compliance to applicable standards and specifications. + Interact daily with customers and vendors to interpret their needs and requirements. + Review industry standards and requirements and flow them down using Job Traveler. + Collaborate with outside vendors for outsourced services like heat treating and plating. Skills & Qualifications + BS degree strongly preferred; will consider candidates with more work experience in lieu of degree + 2+ years of expereince (co/op and internships included) + Aerospace industry experience + CAD/CAM experience & CNC Programming experience + Experience with precision machining and tight tolerances + Exposure to CNC machining - mills, lathes, and/or grinders Work Environment The work environment is a very clean CNC machining environment, temperature controlled. Employees are required to work 50 hours per week, 10 hours per day from Monday through Friday, with 10 hours of guaranteed overtime each week at 1.5X pay. Optional Saturday work is available once a direct employee, with double time (2X pay) available on Saturdays.
