The Role:
As a process engineer you will need to be able to work autonomously, with occasional guidance from supervision. You will be responsible for assisting in developing manufacturing processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities necessary to produce parts. Work in this role is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering environment where creativity and initiative are exercised as well as independent judgment.

SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies
Work as a part of a larger effort or project
Manufacturing process definition
Tooling design review
Part quality improvement
Production throughput improvement
Efficient material flow
Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
Develop/maintain process control plans and PFMEAs
Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):Minimum of 2 years of fulltime, relevant work experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Strong technical knowledge and ability in process and machining engineering disciplines
Demonstrated technical knowledge of foundry processes and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrates a strong analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues
Demonstrated ability to manage smaller projects and assignments with medium level of autonomy and accountability for results (may work under the direction of a more seasoned process engineer)
Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrated basic understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process.
Developing knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
Ability to work overtime and off-shift on an as needed basis
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Proficient in use of Q-Stat, FIT and VisMock-Up or UG
Understanding of Process Control Plans and Process Failure Modes Effect Analysis
Effective in using Red X Problem Solving
Knowledge and experience in machining
This position is a 2nd shift position. Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm
