Job Title: Process Engineer
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Plant Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical engineering and a passion for optimizing production processes. This role involves providing technical oversight, supporting day-to-day operations, and driving improvements in safety, productivity, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Learn and understand the operating processes and technologies within the assigned production area.Provide technical oversight and support for daily operations.Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and solve problems effectively.Work with Operations to enhance safety, yield, productivity, and equipment uptime.Identify and implement solutions for manufacturing issues related to technology.Assist in training operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.Maintain knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) practices, including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change.Keep up to date with technology information relevant to the manufacturing area.Update process P&IDs and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).Collaborate with EHS&S, and the Maintenance department to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.Participate in and support activities related to small capital projects, including commissioning, decommissioning, start-up, and shutdown procedures.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial discipline preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years Engineering experience, including internships.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with experimental design and statistical data analysis.Basic knowledge of chemistry principles.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and support others effectively.Our Company:
