Process Efficiency Engineer

Job Description:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. The role involves analyzing existing processes, designing new systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

2-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or related industries.

Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).

What will be your key responsibilities?

1. Process Design and Optimization:

Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Conduct process simulations and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and work instructions.

 

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure processes meet operational goals.

3. Project Management:

Lead or participate in process improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to implement process changes.

 Manage the installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems.

 

4. Quality and Compliance:

Ensure processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Work with the quality assurance team to address process-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.

 Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

 

5. Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.

Train and mentor staff on new processes, technologies, and best practices.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

 

6. Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide technical support to resolve process-related issues during production.

Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Respond to emergencies and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
