Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst (Level 3) to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position can also support a full time teleworker.

The Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst position will support the business, working to ensure compliance with export laws and regulations and meeting the goals and objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs, and develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agenciesPrepare, manage and maintain export/import authorizations and related records in accordance with comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsAssure transactions comply with government regulations and internal procedures by conducting gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments.Provide guidance to internal customers regarding US government regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Assist in the development, review and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures.Develop and maintain performance metrics.Perform compliance assessments of authorizations and related transactions and assist as necessary in any investigations of potential compliance issues. Review export and import clauses in international and FMS contracts and provide recommendations regarding potential impact to business activity.Deliver program/function specific presentations and trainings and respond to questions from internal and external customers related to export/import compliance.Participate in working groups, independent projects and collaborative efforts within the trade compliance function as well as cross-functionally.

Basic Qualifications for Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst (Level 3)

Must have one of the following:High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experienceBachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceMaster's degree with a minimum of 3 plus years of relevant experienceKnowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearanceMust be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Aerospace or Defense Industry ExperienceExperience assessing the applicability of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptionsProficient in the use of the OCR EASE SoftwareExperienced and comfortable providing training in person or via virtual methodsExperience in both DCS and FMS export requirementsExperience working complex and high-volume programsAbility to prioritize and organize own workloadAttention to detailMust have both excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to work independently as well as with teamsStrong collaboration and team building skillsStrong commitment to integrity and professionalism

Salary Range: $80,600.00 - $127,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
