**Respiratory** **Shift: 6:30am-7:00pm or 6:30pm-7:00am** **PRN Days/Nights** **Requirements** : + **NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)** + **Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama** + **Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Life Support (NRP) Certifications Required** + **Must have strong Level 1 and/or Level 2 NICU experience** **About the Job:** + Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies. + Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities. + Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas. + Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments. + Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation. + Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures. **We know it’s not just about finding a job.
